When Gender Identity is Part of the Investigative Scope

Campus complaints involving gender identity are becoming more prevalent and visible, ranging from concerns over access to bathrooms or locker rooms to sexual assaults involving trans-identified students. This presentation provides real-world examples of how issues involving this community are playing out in campus investigations, including interviews, privacy concerns, document collection, and report writing.

This workshop is presented by Nora Rohman, an investigator at Public Interest Investigations, Inc., who has special expertise in this area. She conducts workplace and Title IX investigations involving allegations of sexual harassment and sexual assault, including complaints involving LGBTQ individuals. Nora also presents training specifically on investigating complaints involving gender-identity issues to campuses and professional organizations.

This presentation provides real-world examples of how issues involving the LGBTQ community are playing out in campus investigations.
The next T9 Mastered: Essentials training will be held in Pasadena, CA, November 4–6
