Nora Rohman, AWI-CH, has been an investigator with Public Interest Investigations, Inc. since 2013 and part of the T9 Mastered faculty since 2017. They apply over a decade of experience to deliver informed investigations and training for public and private higher education systems, public agencies, and private companies. Their skills span Title IX and Title VII investigations involving sexual misconduct allegations; civil litigation investigations involving police misconduct, civil rights violations, and sexual assault; complex workplace investigations involving alleged harassment, discrimination, and/or retaliation; criminal defense investigations; and mitigation investigations for death penalty matters at the trial and appellate levels. Rohman adeptly manages matters with multiple allegations, extensive document review, and numerous witness statements, consulting with attorneys and clients throughout the process.
Rohman has deep knowledge in the areas of gender identity, misgendering, bullying, and trauma-informed interviewing techniques. They frequently present at industry conferences and provide training at university Title IX offices, public agencies, and private companies on conducting effective investigations when gender identity is involved. An active member of the investigations community, Rohman is a member of the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI) Diversity and Inclusion Committee and a faculty trainer for AWI’s accreditation program.
Nora earned their bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Gender Studies from Concordia University in Montreal and pursued a master’s degree in Gender Studies at New York University.
Nora regularly handles Title IX and Title VII investigations and delivers training on topics concerning trauma-informed interview techniques, unconscious bias, interpersonal violence prevention, report writing, misgendering and gender identity, and LGBTQ communities.
