As campus life returns, schools may see an uptick in sexual misconduct complaints from students, faculty and staff. T9 Mastered’s new Nuts & Bolts course will help Title IX professionals quickly gear up for the post-Covid campus and respond to complaints that will fall under the new Department of Education regulations.
Our remote program, built around a realistic case study, focuses on investigating allegations that are likely to go before a hearing officer or adjudication panel for resolution. Topics include:
- Drawing up an investigative plan that takes campus policies and procedures into account
- Employing trauma-awareness approaches that will both enhance fact-gathering and reduce stress for interviewees
- A close-up look at consent, incapacitation and other factors at the core of many Title IX complaints
- Recognizing and managing biases that can impact investigators and the direction of the case
- Preparing for and testifying at a hearing
This program is designed for both new investigators and those who want to refresh their skills.
