Christina Petricca is an Attorney Investigator and Adjudicator with Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation. Christina’s practice focuses on investigations involving misconduct, harassment, discrimination and retaliation. Christina has handled complex investigations in both the private and public sectors. Christina also has experience serving as a Hearing Officer in Title IX cases.
Before joining Van Dermyden Makus Law Corporation, Christina worked for five years as a Title IX Coordinator for a university in the Bay Area. Christina has experience overseeing Title IX sexual misconduct investigations and hearings and is well-versed in Title IX requirements.
Prior to working as a Title IX Coordinator, Christina represented public safety employees throughout California in disciplinary investigations, workplace investigations, due process Skelly hearings, and arbitrations. During this time, Christina also represented public safety labor unions in grievance proceedings and hearings before the Public Employment Relations Board. Christina’s experience representing employees gives her a unique perspective that she brings to her current practice as a neutral investigator and adjudicator.
Christina is licensed to practice law in California. She received her Juris Doctorate from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. While attending law school she worked as an intern for the California Department of Human Resources and the California Public Employees’ Retirement System. She graduated, cum laude, from California State University, Sacramento with a Bachelor of Arts in Spanish and a minor in Criminal Justice.
