Trauma-Informed Virtual Interviewing: Why We Need This Approach

Available to rent for a 24 hour period, from when payment is made.
1 Hour Webinar

Interviewing people who have experienced trauma is never easy, but it is even more difficult in this time of COVID-19 and stay-at-home orders. With most interviews conducted over a computer screen, investigators need to find new approaches to these interviews in order to minimize re-traumatization and get people’s accounts as accurately as possible.

Presented by Keith Rohman and Dr. Brenda Ingram, this webinar will discuss Trauma-Informed Virtual Interviewing (TIVI) and offer tools to help investigators conduct difficult interviews remotely. T9 Mastered’s experts will discuss specific techniques for building rapport, easing witness anxiety, dealing with technical glitches and understanding the unique perspectives needed for interviewing people who may have experienced trauma.

Dr. Brenda Ingram is a licensed clinical social worker who has over 30 years of working in the mental health and education fields specializing in trauma.
Keith is the founder and president of Public Interest Investigations, Inc., in Los Angeles and past president of the Association of Workplace Investigators (AWI).
Past webinars are available in the Training Center.
